The Scarborough Duplex

A June front lifted sheets off the western elevation overnight. We had temporary cover on it the same day, which is the part that matters, because the next front was four days behind it.

The sheets themselves were fine. The fixing pattern was not, at the exposed edge it was screwed at the same density as the sheltered side, which on a west-facing Scarborough roof is not enough. We refixed the whole western plane at increased density and replaced the four sheets that had creased.

Seven working days including the wait for the weather to clear. Fixing the fixing, rather than the sheet, is the difference between this happening once and this happening every winter.
