Roof Repairs and Leak Detection

A ceiling stain is where the water lands, not where it came in. We find the entry point first, then quote the repair.

How It Works

Our process.

  1. 01

    Find the entry point

Water tracks along battens and rafters before it shows on a ceiling. We trace it back rather than patching under the stain.

  2. 02

    Show you the cause

Photos of the actual failure, cracked pointing, a lifted flashing, a corroded valley, before any repair is quoted.

  3. 03

    Repair properly

Broken tiles replaced, valleys re-laid, flashings re-formed and sealed, ridge capping re-bedded where the mortar has gone.

  4. 04

    Test it

We flood-test the repaired section before we leave, so you find out it works from us and not from the next storm.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

My ceiling is stained but only after heavy rain. Is that urgent?

It is worth looking at now. Intermittent leaks are usually wind-driven, meaning water only gets in at a particular angle, and the entry point is often a flashing or a valley that will keep getting worse.

Can you just replace the broken tiles?

Sometimes that genuinely is the whole job and we will say so. But if the pointing across the ridge has gone, replacing one tile buys you a season, not a fix.

Do you match old terracotta?

Usually yes. We keep salvaged stock in common Perth profiles, and we will show you the match before it goes on the roof.

What does a repair cost?

It depends entirely on what is causing it, which is why we inspect before quoting. What we will not do is give you a number over the phone and revise it once we are on the roof.
