The Cottesloe Bungalow

The Cottesloe roof had been patched twice and had a valley that never quite sealed. Two streets back from the water, the fasteners had gone well before the tiles had, which is the pattern we see all along this stretch.

Rather than patch a third time, the owners took the roof off entirely. We stripped to the battens, replaced two runs of rotten timber, laid sarking, and sheeted in coastal-grade Colorbond with matched fasteners rather than the standard ones, because standard fixings this close to the sea are a warranty claim waiting to happen.

Nine working days, start to final inspection, with the garden and the driveway protected throughout.
