The quote the owners had in hand was for a full re-roof. What the roof actually needed was about a hundred and forty tiles.
A previous repair had walked the roof without spreading load, cracking tiles in a line across two planes. The rest of the roof was sound. We sourced matched concrete tiles from salvaged stock, replaced the cracked run, and re-pointed the ridge while we were up there.
Five working days instead of three weeks, and the owners kept a roof that had another fifteen years in it.
